This on-line course is the first step to becoming a certified SCUBA diver and experiencing the amazing underwater world. You can start your training now, just pick any available date it does not matter. You will need to do pool sessions at a later time at an additional expense, ( $235 ). However, the online course does not need to be complete before signing up for the pool sessions. To complete the certification, you will do four open water dives. These 4 dives can be done locally in a hot spring or high mountain lake. You may choose to do them in a tropical destination on one of our trips or on your on own. The additional cost for the four Open Water dives is $350 when completed with Beaver Divers.

The second step in the Open Water Diver certification is the two days of confined water training which is done in the swimming pool.. The pool training must be completed before step three-- your four open water dives. Included in the pool training is the BCD, regulator, dive computer, tanks and weights. Students need to provide their own mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit. They are for sale at Beaver Divers and we provide a guaranteed fit on all gear purchased at Beaver Divers

The final step to becoming a certified Open Water Scuba Diver requires four dives in an open water setting. Dives are conducted over two days at the The Crater in Midway, Utah. This is a 90 degree, 65 foot deep hot spring, with visibility ranging from 40-60 feet!

The SDI Inactive Diver/Refresher Program is designed to update and review the knowledge and skill level of an inactive diver. This course is recommended for divers that have not been diving in over a year or for divers that are about to go on a dive trip. Cost does not include SCUBA gear or any gear rental except tanks and weights.

The SDI Dry Suit Diver Course will open up a whole new world of diving to you. Many of the diving environments around the world are better experienced in a dry suit. Why? These areas have an abundance of marine life waiting to be seen and photographed ? they just happen to be a little colder! Dry suits are also used in tropical water during the cooler months. This course allows the student to develop the knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit. It will discuss the types of dry suits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs.

ADULT, CHILD & INFANT EMERGENCY CARE COURSE This course is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use combined into one program. It is designed to teach the techniques to administer CPR, first aid, and utilize an AED in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults. This comprehensive program is appropriate for workplace training or general knowledge to be better prepared day to day. The CPR and AED components cover the knowledge needed to address one of the largest causes of death in the world. Intervening with this knowledge can possibly save a life. The first aid program reviews common techniques to treat serious emergencies, as well as less serious, more common issues.

Students must write the word "Yes" or "No" next to each question on the Medical History Form.  The form must be filled out and returned before courses can begin.  If "Yes" is written by any of the conditions, the Physician Sign Off form must be returned with the physician stating it is safe for you to participate in SCUBA.
